A
Texas
native, Robert knew he was destined to be a Real Estate leader. His obsession
with Lego’s as a child led him to develop towns and neighborhoods at an early
age. Then he discovered the game “Monopoly” and knew this would be his career
path. He first began to practice Real Estate in Massachusetts
as a real estate salesperson while in college. After completing his studies,
Robert returned to Houston
to practice Real Estate and eventually became a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas.
He has been active in commercial and residential real estate since returning to
Texas,
and served as a principal in a major real estate management and brokerage firm.
In
his Real Estate career, Robert worked with Lenders resulting in less than stellar
experiences. This led Robert to enter the mortgage industry with a large
mortgage company in Houston. According to
Robert, “a home is oftentimes the largest financial commitment that most people
make, and yet most people finance a home based on a five minute phone conversation with their lender.” His approach to the mortgage industry
is simple: Real Estate is one of the best ways to build wealth; however it is
also one of the most overlooked and underutilized in a portfolio.
Robert's
business philosophy combines integrity with mortgage planning strategies,
enabling him to be innovative in creating product recommendations and financing
strategies for a lifetime.
Robert
constantly works with Realtors, Builders, CPAs, and Financial Advisors to develop
unique financing strategies for his clients. Additionally, Robert was the first
mortgage originator in the GulfCoast to
hold the prestigious designation of Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist.
Robert holds a degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in
Entrepreneurship and Real Estate from BabsonCollege in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
He is a licensed Real Estate Broker (currently inactive) in Texas
and an active real estate investor. Robert is regularly heard on the radio as
the Real Estate and Mortgage Expert on The Money Makeover Show.
In
his spare time Robert enjoys collecting classic cars and cooking. When he is not working in Houston,
Robert spends time with his dog restoring his 140 year old Historic home in Galveston, Texas
and his desert retreat in Marfa, Texas.
